II am a Greek photographer based in Athens. For me, photography is a way of being and communicating a medium through which to encounter people, connect with them, and approach them with respect and tenderness. Beyond its professional character, the act of photographing functions as an experiential journey and a vital need to observe and understand human presence.

"Before turning to photography professionally, I worked for ten years at the Ministry of Commerce, a period that allowed me to study photography and develop my creative practice." 

"In 2000, I left the public sector to devote myself exclusively to photography. Initially, I worked as a chief photographer for magazines within a major publishing group, and from 2005 onward, I expanded into commercial projects while continuing my editorial work and personal artistic exploration."

Since 2009, I have been working as an independent photographer, focusing primarily on long-term documentary projects of social interest, approached through a direct and experiential photographic practice. My work combines documentary storytelling with a deeply personal perspective, often exploring the relationship between people, place, memory, and everyday life.

​Alongside my documentary and editorial practice, I have developed an ongoing exploration of the photographic medium itself. This includes experimentation with form and light, the material and expressive qualities of black and white film, and alternative printing processes. My practice frequently takes a hybrid form, bringing photography into dialogue with musical composition, text, artists' responses, and handmade publications and fanzines. Through these processes, I explore not only the image as a representation of reality, but also its physical, material, and experiential dimensions.

From 2017 to 2021, I taught photography at the Leica Academy. I am a member of the Greek Photojournalists Association and a member of the Supervisory Board of Phoebus, the Collective Management and Protection Organization for Photographers' Intellectual Property Rights. My photographs are included in the collection of MOMus Thessaloniki Museum of Photography.
